Yoga Therapy
Yoga therapists typically work one-on-one with clients. They do a comprehensive intake and assessment to determine the best approach to helping the client achieve health and wellness. Depending on the condition(s) being treated, this therapeutic relationship may last from a few months to a few years. During yoga therapy sessions, the yoga therapist will walk the client through specific, individualized yoga practices to address the client's condition(s). These practices might include physical postures, breath work, chanting, philosophy study, and meditation. The application of yoga therapy is informed by yogic tradition, Ayurvedic practices, as well as, western medicine.
